The ASICS® GEL-Nimbus™ IX is a top-of-the-line cushioned running shoe featuring enhanced platform comfort and an upper construction that provides exceptional fit.
The broad supportive platform is suitable for a range of runners from underpronators to moderate overpronators.
Impact Guidance System (IGS®) linked componentry enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe off.
The Solyte™ midsole from midfoot to heel absorbs shock, cushions, and energizes the neutral to under-pronating runner.

Biomorphic Fit™ upper provides superior fit and function.
Dynamic Cradle: supports and guides the foot.

Woman's Running Shoes

The best running shoes differ for each person. Motion-control shoes for women help prevent injuries.

Motion-control shoes are designed to control foot motion and prevent overpronation. Therefore, they have a rigid construction. Many have a firm midsole and are built on a straight last, both of which provide support and help reduce pronation. Motion-control shoes often have technical devices built into inner or arch side of the shoe to stop your foot from rolling in too far. Because motion-control shoes are heavier and more durable than most, they are a good choice for heavy runners.

There are runners complain about shinsplints only to look down at their feet and see that they are wearing cross-training shoes. You can do everything else right and ruin your running with the wrong or a worn-out pair of shoes. No matter how few miles you run each week, do not run in tennis shoes, aerobic shoes, or corss-trainers. Athletic shoes are designed to complement the type of activity you will be doing. Running involves strictly forward motion. Not only is it important that you wear running shoes, but they should be of a design appropriate to your running style.

Shop at a specialty running store where the salespeople have the knowledge to help you find the best shoe and right fit. And replace your shoes regularly. When the midsoles-the supportive layer of the shoe between the bottom of your foot and the outsole-break down, your foot motion during will be affected, which in turn can place stress on the tendons and ligaments of your legs and lead to injury.

Cushioned shoes have the softest midsoles and provide the best shock absorption. Sounds ideal for any runner, doesn't it? Cushioning is not for everyone, though. This is partly due to the softness of the midsole, but in addition, cushioned shoes are built on a semi-curved or curved last and most do not contain motion-control devices, allowing your foot to roll inward. Clearly, these are not the shoes for overpronators.

The shoe should have about a thumbs' width of space more than the full size of the feet. The middle foot area should have a secure and comfortable resting place beneath it. Also, be sure to try on both shoes. On many people one foot is usually bigger than the other foot. Inside the shoe is a stiffened cup encasing the toes known as the box, or block? The place over the toe is called the vamp, the opening near the toes is called the throat of the shoe.

There's a favorite choice for women's running shoes over the years that is Saucony. With designs that apparently were favorable with female runners. Saucony shoes are noted to have narrow designs and defined heels. Other shoe manufacturers also have their own line of women's running shoe, such as New Balance and Nike.

The Best Running Shoe

The best running shoe is different for every foot out there. What's best for my foot will not be best for your foot.
Getting the right running shoe is absolutely critical. Every model of running shoe is designed for a specific type of foot.

The best running shoe will help prevent injury and may help the runner improve his gait.
The most important consideration when choosing a running shoe is that it be right for what your foot does during the gait cycle.
Runners need the best protection that shoes can provide.
A running shoe needs to absorb shock and control motion, while also offering flexibility and durability.

When you shop for the best running shoe does make a difference. Your feet get bigger during the day. So go shop for shoe fit in the late afternoon.
You want a full thumb width between the end of the longest toe and the end of the shoe.
It is important to visit specialty running shoe stores that offer expert advice and help find the best shoe that suits your needs.
If a store clerk keeps insisting a running shoe is better, find a different store.
